Season’s Greetings Card featuring TROPICAL CHIC and STYLISH CHRISTMAS!

Card 150 (1)
Hi Stampin’ Peeps!!

I lived in Hawaii for five years, and when I saw the TROPICAL CHIC BUNDLE, it reminded me of all of the awesome stationery and gift packaging I hoarded *admired* (and purchased in normal amounts–LOL) while I lived there!!

The holidays were a great time to hoard *stock-up*, because all of the cards, gift packaging, and stationery was fun and festive, but still maintained an island theme!

When I saw this set, I knew I had to create something amazing for the holidays, and I love the way this card turned out!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Christmas Cheer Card featuring TAKEOUT TREATS and CIRCLE PUNCHES!

Card 144

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

This Christmas card is a fave of mine, and it happened completely by accident! About a month ago, I got a new craft table that you can adjust the legs on. I wanted to be able to stand and stamp sometimes, so before my husband and I moved it into its permanent place (it’s VERY heavy), I grabbed a stamp and some ink to check the height.

The “Christmas Cheer” stamp was readily available because I was using it on another project, and the haphazard stamping was because it didn’t really matter—it was just a scrap piece of paper and a test! Except…I really liked the result! In fact, I liked it so much that I repeated it several times, and made several cards!

This card is cute and festive, and they are so easy to make, you can stamp up a bunch in minutes!

Here is the Cardstock/Paper needed to make one card:

–Two pieces of Real Red Cardstock: One measuring 8-1/2in x 5-1/2in, and scored at 4-1/4in (this is the card base), and one measuring 2-1/2in x 2-1/2in.
–Two pieces of Shaded Spruce Cardstock: One measuring 4in x 5-1/4in, and one measuring 2-1/4in x 2-1/4in.
–Two pieces of Whisper White Cardstock: One measuring 3-3/4in x 5in, and one measuring 2in x 2in.

1. Using Real Red, stamp the sentiment on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 2in x 2in.

2. Still using Real Red, stamp the sentiment on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in. NOTE: While the small sentiment was stamped at full strength, this piece will be stamped in different shades of red. HERE’S HOW: Ink up the stamp, and then stamp off once on a scrap piece of paper. Next, without inking again, stamp the image three times on the cardstock. Start in the upper left corner, and stamp randomly with the sentiment in a diagonal direction. (See the pic for details!) Keep inking, stamping off once, and then stamping on the cardstock three times, until the cardstock is full. Make sure to keep the pattern random—so that all of the same shade aren’t next to each other—and don’t forget the edges. The entire piece of Whisper White should be covered, and many images will overlap each other.

3. Using the 1-1/2in CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out the sentiment that was stamped on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 2in x 2in. Next, punch out a 2in Circle from the piece of Real Red, measuring 2-1/2in x 2-1/2in; and then punch out a 1-3/4in Circle from the piece of Shaded Spruce, measuring 2-1/4in x 2-1/4in.

4. Using SNAIL, adhere the circles together. First attach the Whisper White circle to the Shaded Spruce circle, and then attach the Shaded Spruce circle to the Real Red circle. Set aside.

5. Using SNAIL again, attach the large sentiment—the piece of Whisper White, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in—to the piece of Shaded Spruce, measuring 4in x 5-1/4in. Next, use STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS to attach this piece to the folded card base.

6. Slide a piece of REAL RED MIXED SATIN RIBBON between the mat and the card base, and tie a bow on the left side of the card. (See pic!) Use DIMENSIONALS again to adhere the round sentiment over the ribbon. (Make sure to adhere the DIMENSIONALS to the top and bottom of the circle so they don’t sit on the ribbon!)

And that’s it! 🙂

See, I told you—totally easy peasy, and super cute!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Beautiful 3X3 Note Cards featuring CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS and FROSTED FLORAL!

Project 54

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

Sometimes you don’t need a whole card, but you have more to say than what will fit on a tag! That’s where 3X3 cards come in! They are perfect for more than a simple To/From, but small enough that it’s not necessary to write more than a few words! These cards are great for gift giving because you can add a few words, but keep things relatively short and sweet!

Today I’ve used the CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS Punch Box and the FROSTED FLORAL SPECIALTY Designer Series Paper to make holiday cards! The CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS Punch Box contains the CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS Stamp Set, the CHRSITMAS TRADITIONS Punch, two Stampin’ Spots in Real Red and Call Me Clover, and a clear stamping block!

The FROSTED FLORAL SPECIALTY DSP is printed on Shimmery White Paper, and all the designs are simply beautiful. The design I used on this card is one of my faves from the pack, but they are all beautiful, and you can see all of the designs on page 37 of the Holiday Catalog!

Here is the list of Cardstock and DSP you need to make both cards:

–Two pieces of Gray Granite Cardstock, measuring 6in x 3in, and scored at 3in.
–Two pieces of Shaded Spruce Cardstock, measuring 2-3/4in x 2-3/4in.
–Two pieces of DSP, measuring 2-1/2in x 2-1/2in.
–A scrap of Shaded Spruce Cardstock, approximately 4in x 2in. (This is to punch out two circles, measuring 1-3/4in.)
–A scrap of Whisper White Cardstock, approximately 4in x 2in. (This is to punch out both sentiments using the CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS Punch.)

Here is how to make the cards:

1. Using the STAMPIN’ TRIMMER, cut and score all of the Cardstock and DSP. Fold the pieces of Gray Granite on the score lines and set aside—these are the card bases. Using the 1-3/4” CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out two circles in the scrap of Shaded Spruce.

2. Stamp two sentiments in Shaded Spruce on the Whisper White Cardstock. Next, use the CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS Punch to punch out both sentiments.

3. Using SNAIL, adhere both pieces of DSP to the two pieces of Shaded Spruce measuring 2-3/4in x 2-3/4in. Next, adhere the matted DSP to the folded pieces of Gray Granite.

4. Use SNAIL to adhere the sentiments to the punched-out circles of Shaded Spruce, and then adhere the sentiments to the cards using STAMPIN’ DIMENTIONALS. (Check pic for placement!)

5. Don’t forget the envelopes! We sell WHISPER WHITE 3X3 ENVELOPES–along with all of the supplies to make these cards–in my Online Stampin’ Up! Store!

And…that’s it! You can make a ton of these beautiful note cards quickly, and keep them handy for all of your holiday gift-giving needs!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂
