Thank You Card featuring ABSTRACT IMPRESSIONS and the STAMPARATUS!

Card 142 (1)

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

This card didn’t start as a card, but once I saw the completed flowers, I had to keep going!

Craft Fair Season has started, and in addition to sharing the STAMPARATUS and the benefits at my table, I made up some examples showing Two—or in this case, Three—Step Stamping, and the Hinge Technique. (I’ll show you that card on Thursday!)

Originally, I started stamping with the intent of just making a sample! Using the ABSTRACT IMPRESSIONS Stamp Set, I loaded the three stamps for the flower onto my plates, and started stamping randomly in four corners of a random piece of Whisper White Cardstock. As soon as I saw the result, I knew I had to stamp more, so I cut the piece down to 3-3/4in x 5in, and started stamping on another piece of cardstock with the intent of punching out those images and adding them to the card! You can see the added circles in the pic below, and I think they add a little bit of depth to the card.

Card 142 (2)

Here’s the Cardstock/Paper needed to make one card:

–One piece of Soft Sea Foam, measuring 8-1/2in x 5-1/2in (this is the card base).
–Two pieces of Coastal Cabana: One measuring 4in x 5-1/4in, and one measuring 3-1/4in x 1in.
–Three pieces of Whisper White: Two measuring 3-3/4in x 5in, and one measuring 3in x 3/4in.

Directions:

1. Arrange the three stamps needed to make the flower on the STAMPARATUS Plates. Note: Line them up so that they will stamp near the corner of the cardstock, but not exactly in the corner. This card is more artistic and random than exact. 😉

2. Stamp four complete images on both pieces of Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in. Start with the largest part of the flower, and Soft Sea Foam. Next, stamp the middle part of the flower in Coastal Cabana, and finally, stamp the last part of the flower—the accents—in Shaded Spruce.

3. Set one piece of stamped cardstock aside—we will use it soon—and use the 1-1/2in CIRCLE PUNCH to punch out the four flowers from the other piece of cardstock. You will end up with one piece of cardstock stamped with four flower images, and four 1-1/2in circle shaped flower images.

4. Using SNAIL, attach the four circle shapes to the stamped piece of cardstock. Note: Arrange them where you want them around the permanent flowers, and trim any overhang with PAPER SNIPS. (See pic for reference!)

5. Using Shaded Spruce, stamp the sentiment on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 3in x 3/4in. NOTE: Stamp closer to the left side of the cardstock, to leave room to tie the thread on the right. (See pic!) Next, use SNAIL to adhere the sentiment to the piece of Coastal Cabana, measuring 3-1/4in x 1in—this is the sentiment mat.

6. Cut a piece of LINEN THREAD long enough to wrap it around the matted sentiment approximately four times, and then tie a bow.

7. Fold the card base on the score line. Using SNAIL, attach the stamped piece of Whisper White to the piece of Coastal Cabana, measuring 4in x 5-1/4in. Next, use SNAIL again to attach the mat to the card base.

8. Using STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS, adhere the sentiment to the card. (See pic for placement!)

And, that’s it!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Narrow Thank You Card featuring ROOTED IN NATURE and A BIG THANK YOU!

Card 141 (1)

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

Today I’m sharing a beautiful Thank You card using the WHISPER WHITE NARROW NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES! These cards only measure 2-1/2in x 4-1/2in, and they are perfect for a quick,  hand-delivered note. (Note: In the US, these cards are too small to send through the postal service!) As an added bonus, these precut/pre-scored Note Cards & Envelopes are also on sale for WORLD CARD MAKING DAY! (Visit this post to learn more!)

Here is the Cardstock/Paper needed to make this card:

–One WHISPER WHITE NARROW NOTE CARD (& ENVELOPE)
–One piece of SHIMMERY WHITE Cardstock, measuring 2-1/4in x 4-1/4in.
–Two pieces of Whisper White Cardstock, both measuring 2in x 2in.

Directions:

1. Using the Rich Razzleberry Watercolor Pencil, gently “scribble” onto the lower half of the SHIMMERY WHITE Cardstock. Make sure to cover most of the space you want the watercolor wash (see pic for details), and don’t be afraid to press hard to make the area dark. (We want the area to “pop” after we add the water!)

2. Fill the AQUA PAINTER with water, and brush the pen over the colored area. (Careful not to add too much water!) Spread around the ink until you are happy with the background! Set aside!

3. Using Mossy Meadow, ink up the branch of leaves stamp, stamp off once, and stamp one image on one piece of 2in x 2in Whisper White Cardstock. Repeat this step, adding another image next to the first. Next, using the corresponding die and the BIG SHOT, cut out both images.

4. Using Rich Razzleberry, stamp the sentiment on the other piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Then, using the smallest circle from the STITCHED SHAPES FRAMELITS DIES, and the BIG SHOT, cut out the sentiment.

5. Use MINI GLUE DOTS to attach the stamped leaves, LEAF TRINKET, and RICH RAZZLEBERRY 1/4in VELVET RIBBON to the card. (See pic for guide!)

6. Use double height STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS to adhere the sentiment to the card!

And you’re done!

Watercolor Halloween Card featuring the CAULDRON BUBBLE Stamp Set and the CAULDRON Framelits Dies!

Card 140 (1)

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

Happy Halloween!!…Just kidding! We still have 29 days left before the big day, and that is just enough time to make up a few of these adorable Halloween cards! PLUS, I used the WHISPER WHITE NOTE CARDS (& ENVELOPES) as the card base, they are on sale until October 7!! (Click here to learn more about WORLD CARD MAKING DAY and Stampin’ Up!’s SALE on Card Making Essentials!)

Okay, so here is the Cardstock/Paper needed to make this card:

–One Precut/Scored WHISPER WHITE NOTE CARD (&ENVELOPE).
–One piece of SHIMMERY WHITE Cardstock, measuring 3-1/4in x 4-3/4in.
–One piece of Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 3-1/2in x 2-1/2in.
–One piece of BLACK FOIL, measuring 2-1/2in x 5in.

Card 140 (3)

And, here is how to make the card:

1. Fill the AQUA PAINTER with water, grab all three ink pads, and the CLEAR BLOCK A. (Note: There are several ways to gather ink for watercoloring. You can squeeze the closed ink pad, so ink ends up in the cover; you can put a few drops of ink (from the reinker bottle) in the cover of the ink pad (or on a clear block); or you can “stamp” the clear block into the stamp pad like the pic above. I’m sure there are other ways, too, and they all work, so choose the one you like and go with it!)

2. Let’s watercolor! Watercolor on the piece of SHIMMERY WHITE Cardstock, measuring 3-1/4in x 4-3/4in. Start at the bottom of the cardstock, and color 1/3 in Gorgeous Grape, 1/3 in Granny Apple Green, and 1/3 in Pumpkin Pie. Set aside to dry. (This only takes a couple of minutes.)

3. Using Tuxedo Black Momento Ink, stamp the witch on the piece of Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 3-1/2in x 2-1/2in.

4. Using the BIG SHOT and the CAULDRON Framelits Dies, cut out the witch with the corresponding die. Next, cut two cobwebs out of the piece of BLACK FOIL, measuring 2-1/2in x 5in.

5. Using the Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker, add some color to the witch–Color the hat band, her hair, the moon and stars on her apron, and her tights!

6. Use the STAMPARATUS to stamp the sentiment on the watercolored piece of SHIMMERY WHITE. (See pic for placement!) I wanted the sentiment dark, so I used the STAMPARATUS and inked/stamped the sentiment three times. The dark “inky” black looks great against the Gorgeous Grape!!

7. Using SNAIL, adhere the piece of SHIMMERY WHITE to the card base. Next, use MINI GLUE DOTS to adhere the cobwebs to the card, and finally, use STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS to adhere the witch over the cobwebs! (Note: The cobwebs are meant to add a little dimension to the card. After the card is complete, gently lift up the corners of the webs!)

And, you’re done!
