Hello Friend Card featuring ANIMAL EXPEDITION and WOOD WORDS!

Card 136 (1)

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

When I saw the little birdies on this piece of ANIMAL EXPEDITION DSP, I knew they had to go on a card with some sort of “Hello” sentiment, and once I decided which set to use, I knew the frog print would make an adorable card, too! Plus, this quick and easy design is perfect for making multiples!

I love this simple and clean sentiment from the WOOD WORDS Stamp Set, but sometimes small word stamps aren’t my friends…mainly because I can never get them straight! Well, NOT ANYMORE!! You guys, if you haven’t tried the STAMPARATUS yet, you’re missing out! Even if you don’t have problems lining up stamps, the STAMPARATUS is great for doing multiples, and, if you have any problems gripping the blocks, it takes a lot of stress off your hands! It’s a definite must have tool, and without it, there would be no way I would have easily made eight of these cute cards! Seriously! I would have given up after one good one! LOL! Soooo…you definitely need this tool!! 😉

Here’s a close up of the frog card:

And, here are the deets on the Cardstock! You need:

–A card base, measuring 8-1/2in x 5-1/2in, and scored at 4-1/4in. I used Calypso Coral for the bird card, and Shaded Spruce for the frogs!
–A mat for your DSP, measuring 5-1/4in x 4in. (I used Old Olive for both cards!)
–A piece of DSP, measuring 5in x 3-3/4in.
–A mat for your sentiment, measuring 2-1/2in x 3/4in. Again, I used Calypso Coral for the birdies, and Shaded Spruce for the frogs!
–A piece of Whisper White for your sentiment, measuring 2-1/4in x 1/2in.

And, here is how to make your card!

1. Cut out all of the Cardstock and DSP pieces needed to make your card(s), and then score and fold your card base on the score line. (You may use a BONE FOLDER for a crisp edge.)
2. Stamp your sentiment in Old Olive, and set it aside.
3. Use SNAIL to adhere your pieces together! First, adhere the piece of DSP to the mat, then adhere the mat to the card base. Next, adhere the sentiment to the sentiment mat, and then adhere the matted sentiment to the card.

And…you’re done with the bird card!

4. For the frog card, you’ll want to add a white mat on the inside so you can write inside your card. (The Shaded Spruce base is very dark!) I usually make mats that are 5in x 3-3/4in, but you can also use 5-1/4in x 4in for more writing room!

And now you’re done with the frog card! 😉

See…quick, easy, and super cute!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂
