Hi Stampin’ Peeps!
This week I’m sharing more cards using the TEA ROOM SPECIALTY DSP, and I’m also using the DAISY DELIGHT Stamp Set! Thursday’s card will also feature the DAISY PUNCH, and if you don’t have the Daisy’s…you need to get them!!
For this card, I did something I’ve seen a lot of in the annual catalog, and I cut the DSP to be the same size as the base of the card! For the base, I used a standard piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock (8.5in x 5.5in–scored at 4.25in), then I just adhered the DSP to the top, and let the pretty paper do most of the work!! The card base is light, so it’s your choice whether or not you add something to the inside! I didn’t think anything was needed so I left it blank, and this card came together in a snap!!
Rich Razzleberry is the coordinating color for the DSP, but I used Blackberry Bliss Ink to stamp the sentiment, and I think it really makes the words POP!!
Note: The TEA ROOM SPECIALTY DSP is thinner than our regular DSP. When using snail to adhere it to your card base, don’t only go around the edges, or your paper will come away from the cardstock when the card is handled. It’s not a huge deal, but for a cleaner, more professional look, go around the edges, but then also run your snail on the diagonal in both directions–you’ll be a lot happier with the results!!
Happy Stampin’! 🙂
