One Big Meaning Lovely Thank You Cards (Part 1)!

Card 100 (1)

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!!

EEP!! … That’s how I feel right now!! LOL!!

So, let me fill you in a little!! Every year Stampin’ Up! holds OnStage Events in April and November!! These events are only for demonstrators, and they are a chance for us to get together, meet new friends, see old friends, play with new products, see new catalogs, and so much more!!

Guess what?? April’s event is this Saturday, and I will be attending the one held in Hartford, Connecticut!! (There are four other locations throughout the US, two in Canada, and several in the South Pacific!!)

The bummer part is, with all of the prep and excitement, my schedule is a little off!! So, that means I don’t have videos for you this week, and I won’t have them next week either! That part is sad, BUT, I do have some awesome cards to share with you guys!! So many, that I’m making these cards a Four-Part “Series”!!

Here’s the scoop: You may have noticed lots of demos lately talking about cutting up your DSP (Designer Series Paper) to make cards! If you follow my blog, you already know I’m an advocate for using up my (and your) DSP, but the other day, one of my teammates did a video on the #loveitchopit movement, and I was inspired!!

In fact, I was so inspired that I will have another DSP vid soon, but that’s for a later time!! For this week and next, I didn’t cut up whole pieces of DSP! Instead, I used up all of those scraps that I shove back in the plastic after I cut up a whole piece…and let me tell you, there were a lot of scraps in that pack!! In fact, I was able to make fifteen cards in four different styles–just from “scraps”!!

If your stash is anything like mine, I’m sure you can, too!!

Here’s another pic from today’s design:

Card 100 (2)

For these cards, I used two pieces of DSP measuring 3.75in x 2.50in, so together they would measure 3.75in x 5in. The mat underneath the DSP is 5.25in x 4in, and the card base is 11in x 4.25in (then scored at 5.50in.) *You could also use a card base of 8.50in x 5.50in (then score at 4.25!)

All the supplies used are listed below, and come back Thursday for Part 2! (Parts 3 & 4 will be next Monday and Thursday!!)

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Price: $110.00
