Birthday Baker’s Box featuring CAKE SOIREE and SWEET CAKE!

Project 55 (1)

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

I love boxes, and these BAKER’S BOXES are super cute! They are brand-new in the Holiday Catalog (page 49), and you can decorate them in a bunch of ways!

For this project, I used my SPONGE BRAYER to make a cute and cheerful Birthday Box! (I used the decorated Pillow Box on page 79 of the Annual Catalog as inspiration!) The packaging on this gift will definitely make the recipient smile, and combined with whatever you put inside, it will make their special day even more sweet!

Note: These boxes are white, food-safe, and they come in a pack of eight! Folded, they measure 4-1/4in x 4-1/4in x 2-1/8in!

Here’s the Cardstock/Paper needed to make each box:
(You’ll also need one BAKER’S BOX!)

–One piece of Whisper White, measuring approximately 4in x 3in.
–One piece of Daffodil Delight, measuring approximately 3-1/2in x 2-1/4in.
–One piece of Granny Apple Green, measuring approximately 2in x 1-1/4in.

Directions:

1. Using the SPONGE BRAYER and Daffodil Delight, color the outside of the box. Ink up the BRAYER on the Ink Pad, and then roll it over the box, making sure not to color the acetate window on the box. (Note: Put a scratch piece of paper over the acetate to keep it ink free!) Don’t be afraid to press the BRAYER into the ink pad—you really want the color to show! Repeat this step until the box is the desired color, then set it aside to dry.

2. Using Granny Apple Green, stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White Cardstock—Keep the sentiment near the edge, but leave enough space to center the words in a 1-1/2in Circle. Next, stamp the flowers and leaves: Stamp one large rose in Coastal Cabana, stamp one small rose in Poppy Parade, and stamp two small flowers in Mango Melody. Finally, stamp four leaves in Granny Apple Green. (Note: These are all stamped on the piece of Whisper White!)

3. Using the BIG SHOT and the coordinating SWEET CAKES FRAMELITS DIES, cut out the flowers and leaves. Next, cut out one rose outline in Daffodil Delight, and one sprig from the piece of Granny Apple Green.

4. Still using the BIG SHOT and the STITCHED SHAPES FRAMELITS DIES, cut out one circle in Daffodil Delight. (This is the mat for the sentiment, and it measures 1-7/8in in diameter.)

5. Using the 1-1/2in CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out the sentiment, and then adhere it to the die-cut Daffodil Delight Stitched Circle using SNAIL.

6. Using MINI GLUE DOTS, build the corner flower arrangements. First, adhere two leaves to the back of one of the small roses stamped in Mango Melody. Next, follow the pic to arrange the rest of the cut pieces.

7. Using STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS, adhere the flower arrangements to the box. (See pic for placement!)

8. NOTE: Fill your box with goodies before completing the final two steps!

9. Cut a piece of GRANNY APPLE GREEN 1/2IN TEXTURED WEAVE RIBBON that will wrap around the box. (Note: Don’t cut extra—this piece only needs to go around the box with no overlap.) Next, using MINI GLUE DOTS, adhere one end of the ribbon to the acetate, wrap the ribbon around the box, and adhere the other end of the ribbon next to the first. (See pic!)

10. Using STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS, adhere the sentiment over the ribbon. (Note: Make sure to place the DIMENSIONALS on the sides of the sentiment so they don’t rest on the ribbon.)

And, that’s it!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Cards!

Christmas Cheer Card featuring TAKEOUT TREATS and CIRCLE PUNCHES!

Card 144

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

This Christmas card is a fave of mine, and it happened completely by accident! About a month ago, I got a new craft table that you can adjust the legs on. I wanted to be able to stand and stamp sometimes, so before my husband and I moved it into its permanent place (it’s VERY heavy), I grabbed a stamp and some ink to check the height.

The “Christmas Cheer” stamp was readily available because I was using it on another project, and the haphazard stamping was because it didn’t really matter—it was just a scrap piece of paper and a test! Except…I really liked the result! In fact, I liked it so much that I repeated it several times, and made several cards!

This card is cute and festive, and they are so easy to make, you can stamp up a bunch in minutes!

Here is the Cardstock/Paper needed to make one card:

–Two pieces of Real Red Cardstock: One measuring 8-1/2in x 5-1/2in, and scored at 4-1/4in (this is the card base), and one measuring 2-1/2in x 2-1/2in.
–Two pieces of Shaded Spruce Cardstock: One measuring 4in x 5-1/4in, and one measuring 2-1/4in x 2-1/4in.
–Two pieces of Whisper White Cardstock: One measuring 3-3/4in x 5in, and one measuring 2in x 2in.

Directions:

1. Using Real Red, stamp the sentiment on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 2in x 2in.

2. Still using Real Red, stamp the sentiment on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in. NOTE: While the small sentiment was stamped at full strength, this piece will be stamped in different shades of red. HERE’S HOW: Ink up the stamp, and then stamp off once on a scrap piece of paper. Next, without inking again, stamp the image three times on the cardstock. Start in the upper left corner, and stamp randomly with the sentiment in a diagonal direction. (See the pic for details!) Keep inking, stamping off once, and then stamping on the cardstock three times, until the cardstock is full. Make sure to keep the pattern random—so that all of the same shade aren’t next to each other—and don’t forget the edges. The entire piece of Whisper White should be covered, and many images will overlap each other.

3. Using the 1-1/2in CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out the sentiment that was stamped on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 2in x 2in. Next, punch out a 2in Circle from the piece of Real Red, measuring 2-1/2in x 2-1/2in; and then punch out a 1-3/4in Circle from the piece of Shaded Spruce, measuring 2-1/4in x 2-1/4in.

4. Using SNAIL, adhere the circles together. First attach the Whisper White circle to the Shaded Spruce circle, and then attach the Shaded Spruce circle to the Real Red circle. Set aside.

5. Using SNAIL again, attach the large sentiment—the piece of Whisper White, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in—to the piece of Shaded Spruce, measuring 4in x 5-1/4in. Next, use STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS to attach this piece to the folded card base.

6. Slide a piece of REAL RED MIXED SATIN RIBBON between the mat and the card base, and tie a bow on the left side of the card. (See pic!) Use DIMENSIONALS again to adhere the round sentiment over the ribbon. (Make sure to adhere the DIMENSIONALS to the top and bottom of the circle so they don’t sit on the ribbon!)

And that’s it! 🙂

See, I told you—totally easy peasy, and super cute!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Cards!

Birthday Card featuring PERENNIAL BIRTHDAY and the STAMPARATUS!

Card 143

Hi Stampin’ Peeps!

Today I’m showing you the other sample I made to show the awesomeness of the STAMPARATUS! This card features the Hinge Technique, and compared to other Stamp-Positioning Platforms, this feature is exclusive to the STAMPARATUS!

The card I’m sharing today is “just the basics”, but once you see everything the STAMPARTUS can do, there are so many possibilities using this technique!

Here’s the Cardstock/Paper needed to make one card:

–One piece of Mango Melody, measuring 8-1/2in x 5-1/2in.
–One piece of Berry Burst, measuring 4in x 5-1/4in.
–Two pieces of Whisper White: One measuring 3-3/4in x 5in, and one measuring approximately 2-1/4in x 2-1/4in (we will punch a 1-3/4in circle out of this piece.)
–One piece of Soft Sea Foam, measuring approximately 2-1/2in x 2-1/2 (we will punch a 2in circle out of this piece.)

Directions:

1. Arrange the sentiment on the STAMPARATUS, near the top of the plate—make sure the plate hinges for the plate you are using are on the side and not the top. Test the placement of the stamp by moving the top of the plate to the fifth hinge space. Make sure the stamped image will stamp completely on the card. If it doesn’t, then move the stamp, and test it again. Once the stamp is in the correct position, put the piece of Whisper White Cardstock, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in on the STAMPARATUS, and secure it in place with a magnet.

2. Starting with the plate in the first hinge space, ink up the stamp using Mango Melody, and stamp once on the cardstock. Move the plate down one hinge, ink up the stamp again, and stamp the cardstock again. Repeat this step three more times.

3. Using Berry Burst, stamp the sentiment on the piece of Whisper White, measuring 2-1/4in x 2-1/4in. Using the 1-3/4in CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out the sentiment. Then, using the 2in CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out a circle from the piece of Soft Sea Foam, measuring 2-1/2in x 2-1/2in.

4. Using SNAIL, adhere the sentiment to the 2in Soft Sea Foam circle.

5. Using SNAIL again, adhere the stamped piece of Whisper White, measuring 3-3/4in x 5in, to the piece of Berry Burst, measuring 4in x 5-1/4in. Next, using STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS, adhere this piece to the card base.

6. Cut a piece of BERRY BURST METALLIC EDGE RIBBON long enough to wrap around the piece of Berry Burst Cardstock and tie a bow. Next, slide the ribbon under the Berry Burst Cardstock, and tie a bow on the left side of the card between the third and fourth stamped images.

7. Using STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS, adhere the matted sentiment to the card, over the ribbon. (See pic for placement!)

And you’re done!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂
