Hi Everyone!

Fall is my favorite season (please go away, Summer!) and I can’t wait to see the leaves change color, and feel the air turn brisk! The flowers in this card are from the aptly named PAINTED HARVEST Stamp Set, and the leaf is from a set called, MERRY CAFE! Both sets are part of the new Holiday Catalog, and you can order them on September 1!

What’s your favorite season? Let me know in the comments, and don’t forget to add the hashtag #stampitcontest to be entered to win an IN THE CITY Stamp Set! Here’s the deets:

Pansy Challenge: Holiday Sticky Note Holder!

IMG_1436YAY!! We made it to day four, and the final day of the Pansy Challenge! If you’re just joining us, start at the beginning, here!

As I shared in the last post, this project was a challenge because I chose Real Red for the pansies! I ended up using retired ribbon and DSP to complete this design, but if you’d like to CASE this project, I suggest the following changes: Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, Be Merry Designer Series Paper, and Cherry Cobbler 1/4in Double-Stitched Ribbon.

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Pansy Challenge: That Thing Thanks!

IMG_1436Thanks for joining me for day 3 of my Pansy Challenge! If you missed day one, you can find it here!

Because I chose Real Red for the pansies, this card–and tomorrow’s project–posed an even bigger challenge. To make the designs I wanted, both designs use a retired ribbon, and tomorrow’s project uses a retired DSP (Designer Series Paper!) For that reason, if you’d like to CASE either project, I suggest changing the pansy to Berry Burst, and using the Berry Burst 1/2in Finely Woven Ribbon, and the coordinating Fresh Florals DSP! 🙂

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Pansy Challenge: Thanks for Everything!

IMG_1436 Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for day two of my Pansy Challenge! If you missed yesterday’s post, you can see it here!

Today’s project is one of two thank you cards I made with the pansies…it’s also my favorite of all the cards! I love the bold writing of the sentiment, and the Basic Black is striking on the Melon Mambo Cardstock!

Happy Stampin’! 🙂

Pansy Challenge: Aloha Christmas!

IMG_1436

Hey Peeps! Last week, some of you saw the above pic posted on either Instagram or Facebook, describing the challenge I faced with these pansies!

To catch you all up to speed, I stamped and brushed 20 of these pansies for a Christmas card fail, and, so all of my hard work wouldn’t go to waste, I challenged myself to use as many as possible in other projects! I’m happy to say, I was able to use 16 out of the twenty by creating four designs, and making each one four times! 😉 (Of the final four, I ruined two, and trashed two…which, in the end, wasn’t a problem–Believe me…I was done with pansies! LOL!) 😀

For the first project, because I had originally planned for a Christmas card, I went for Christmas! I lived in Hawaii for five years, and this card definitely says “Aloha” to me! ❤

See you next time with my second creation!

Paper Pumpkin: July!

PP-July 1

OMG!! I got my first batch of Paper Pumpkin kits around 7/15, but I didn’t get a chance to play with them until earlier this week. Let me tell you guys…these kits are soooooo much fun!!

Your kit will arrive in an orange, rectangular box with the Paper Pumpkin Logo on one side, and your address label on the other. The box is approximately 10in x 6 1/2in x 1 3/4in.

When I first opened my box, a fun postcard greeted me…

PP-July 2

(I’m totally keeping it forever!)

Once I removed everything from the box, these are the pieces I had…
(You’ll also get a clear block (size D) with your first box!)

PP-July 3

The colorful package front (above) doubles as an instruction sheet!

And once the package of supplies was unwrapped…

PP-July 4

OMG! The package was packed full of supplies! It included everything (even adhesive) to make eight cards (two each of the following designs), and I only had to bring a pair of paper snips to the table!

PP-July 5

You guys! These boxes are amazing!! They contain all of the fun of paper crafting–without the fuss! Literally everything is cut, scored and ready to assemble!!
